🇺🇸CIVICCLAIM

Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

1. What CivicClaim is

CivicClaim is an entertainment and social platform. Users purchase temporary display rights ("claims") on a fan-created map of the United States. A claim places the purchaser's chosen display name on a city, state name, or fictional fan position until another user makes a higher claim.

2. What a claim is not

3. Takeovers

Any active claim can be taken over by another user paying at least $1 more than the current claim value. This is a core mechanic of the platform: holding a spot is always temporary. By claiming, you accept that your claim can be superseded at any time without refund.

4. Content and conduct

Display names, state renames, and sponsor content must follow the Community Guidelines. We may remove content, freeze locations, or suspend accounts that violate them. Impersonating government institutions or presenting CivicClaim ownership as real authority is prohibited.

5. Payments

Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor. CivicClaim never stores raw card details. A claim becomes active only after the payment is confirmed. If a competing claim is confirmed first, your payment is not captured or is refunded in full.

6. Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, CivicClaim is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the platform.
